White Gum
Our White Gum is the perfect example of what our technology is all about: proving that plantation hardwood can be more than woodchips. The raw material comes from juvenile logs that are typically only ever destined for pulp.
White Gum is the lightest of our timbers, and it's the same species featured on Grand Designs Australia. We love it quartersawn, for a crisp, linear grain that stays disciplined but never rigid, with an organic drift running through the length of the grain. Applications go far and wide, from internal linings and flooring to battens, posts and beams, shelving and joinery. The species is best suited to internal applications, although it can also be used externally when H3 treated.
Our White Gum is covered under our Declare Label, and has earned Living Building Challenge Compliant status. It is also a Best Practice material under GBCA’s Responsible Products Framework.
All raw feedstock is responsibly sourced, backed by FSC® chain of custody, which is available on request.
