Geoff Swinbourne
Director + Founder
Geoff is the founder and driving force behind Crafted Hardwoods. With nearly three decades in the commercial furniture industry, he brings a rare mix of deep experience, strong relationships, and a genuine passion for doing things better — for people and for the planet.
He spent his early career building a $150M national furniture business from the ground up, before leading the ACT branch of Zenith Interiors for 13 years — collaborating closely with architects, designers, builders, and clients to deliver high-performance, future-focused solutions.
But Geoff’s vision didn’t stop there. In 2022, he completed the Cambridge Business Sustainability Management course, sparking the launch of Crafted Hardwoods — a venture built on innovation, transparency, and the belief that better materials can drive real change in our region.
Geoff leads with energy, integrity, and a deep belief in the power of collaboration to shift the built environment toward a more sustainable future.
Darren Minto
Client Relationship Manager
Darren brings energy, drive, and deep industry know-how to the Crafted team. He’s been immersed in the timber world since the age of 20, starting on the ground floor at Bowens — one of Australia’s leading timber merchants — and quickly rising through the ranks.
Over 14 years, he built his reputation through a mix of hands-on sales, strategic thinking, and a genuine care for client outcomes. Most recently, he helped shape the future of high-end architectural products at Circa (formerly Showroom by Bowens), working closely with designers and builders to bring ambitious ideas to life.
In 2023, Darren’s commitment to better outcomes for the industry earned him a position on the HIA Regional Executive Committee — a role that deepened his passion for innovation, sustainability, and smarter construction.
Now driving the sales at Crafted Hardwoods, Darren is focused on helping clients push boundaries and deliver standout results with better timber at the core.
Cristel Morin
Brand Manager
Cristel is the heartbeat of the Crafted Hardwoods brand. With a background in communication, multimedia, and journalism from Sherbrooke University in Quebec, she brings a sharp eye and thoughtful voice to everything from marketing and storytelling to operations and certification.
She’s worked across sectors in both Canada and Australia, and now wears many hats — overseeing our admin, social media, marketing, Chain of Custody certification, and philanthropic initiatives.
A mother of two, Cristel’s passion for wholefoods, wellbeing, and sustainability runs deep. Her commitment to raising environmentally conscious kids mirrors the values at the core of Crafted Hardwoods: protecting our planet through better choices and better materials.
