NSW Spotted Gum
Our NSW Spotted Gum is a genuine head-turner, especially backsawn, where the grain swings from light brown through to rich chocolate across a single face.
At F27 structural rating and 10kN Janka hardness, it's one of the toughest timbers in our range: strong enough for structural work, hard-wearing enough for the busiest commercial environments.
Coated and maintained correctly, it performs just as well outdoors as it does indoors, and it's rated to BAL29, meeting construction requirements for higher bushfire-risk zones.
Our NSW Spotted Gum is covered under our Declare Label, and has earned Living Building Challenge Compliant status. It is also a Best Practice material under GBCA’s Responsible Products Framework.
All raw feedstock is responsibly sourced, backed by PEFC chain of custody, which is available on request.
